Today went A LOT more smoothly than yesterday (thank fricken goodness). We started the day with breakfast at The Mill, a cute all-day brunch spot right in Bairro Alto (party central). I will say the food was the bomb and tax/tip is always included, so no need for math while on vacation. That said, the waiters didn't remember to give us our change, so we lost money anyways. Hey, at least we are yet to see a pick pocketer.

Next, we caught a bus to the west end of the city to see the main tourist area. I love that taking the bus is the easiest way to explore the city. Not only do you see sights along the way, but it is also a huge money saver. We started with Pilar 7, which is on the way to the main area. Here, we climbed to the top of the bridge (which looks a lot like the Golden Gate bridge), since the elevator was out of service. The views were well worth the climb.
After Pilar 7, we went to Pasteis de Belem, the oldest Pasteis de Nata (or Portuguese egg tart) shop in the area. They far exceeded our expectations and were served with packets of icing sugar and cinnamon. Next to Pasteis de Belem is Pao, Pao, Quejo, Quejo, which is the self-proclaimed "Best Baguette in the World." Even though this is probably unproven, they give you close to a full baguette with a bunch of toppings for only 4 Euros (a steal, by the way).
Featuring me and my amazing egg tart.
After quick food breaks (our favourite part of travelling), we went to the coach museum. If you ask me, this one can be skipped unless you really have a thing for looking at better versions of Cinderella's pumpkin carriage. Also, Apple Maps took us the wrong way so we added a nice 3000 steps to our step count. I suggest Apple Maps for all travel stops except this one. Google maps was our saviour here. We also went to the Jeronimos Monastery. It is a beautiful piece of architecture that I certainly recommend checking out. Fair warning, PDA is very evident all over Lisbon. People have no concern whether people watch them French kiss on the street. So, if PDA freaks you out, bring a blindfold. Belem Tower was also a stop along the way!

In the evening, the plan is Wonderland Lisboa, a cute little Christmas market with a ferris wheel. We are yet to leave the apartment and make the trek over, but I'll update you if it is a worthwhile stop! All these stops are included in the Lisboa Card (FYI)!
Lisbon sounds great! My Aunt is actually in Santo António Portugal right now! So its kinda cool to see pics and hear about different parts of the country!
Guess I got to go to Lisbon now!
